Revolution?

One thing systems theory shows is that revolutions, at least not in the way they are envisioned by people who want quick, radical social change, are extremely improbable. Systems are too complex, and they co-evolve.  Systems, like the economy or politics, may get destabilized and they re-stabilize themselves. And any movement toward a radical change in one system is likely to be countered by another system, which tends to lead to a larger-level stability. This is not to say that a revolution cannot happen; it is just to say that it is extremely improbable.
